That training comes from Lone Star Valet providing our corporate employees the opportunity to participate in continuing education conferences and programs.
Our Human Resources Director, Janna Smith, recently attended the HRSouthwest Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. According to their website, “The HRSouthwest Conference (HRSWC) is the largest regional human resources Conference in the United States. The Conference offers world-renowned keynote speakers, two and a half days of educational sessions networking opportunities and exposure to the latest HR products, techniques and services. The HRSouthwest Conference delivers exceptional HR education that will expand your knowledge and your network.”
Some of the sessions Janna attended covered topics on: ethical leadership, cohesive team member behaviors, recruiting, legal dress code enforcement, and compensation package compliance.
Ms. Smith found the 2 day workshop to be immensely helpful and beneficial to her work at Lone Star and would recommend the conference to other human resources professionals. She even met Lisa Ling! Janna came back to the office with fresh ideas and has enjoyed implementing several of the tips she received.
